The Blood Became Sick

A disease discovered about eight years ago is spreading in Asia and parts of the United States. Its victims, most of whom are Asian, are HIV-negative. Their immune systems are paralyzed due to the body churning out autoantibodies that inhibit gamma interferon, which fights infections. For more:  click here.

  1. NON HIV AIDS cases have been cited in medical journals since 1992, so this is hardly *breaking news*.

Chapter 33 of Hillary Johnson's: Osler's Web: Inside the Labyrinth of the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) Epidemic, published in 1996, is entitled "HIV-NEGATIVE AIDS."

Neenyah Ostrom's book "America's Biggest Cover-up: 50 More Things ...CFS and Its Link To AIDS", published in 1993, cites as it's #1 THING: "Some CFS Patients May Be Non-HIV AIDS Cases."

Something cannot be declared "AIDS-like," if it is not contagious. "Uncontagious AIDS-like disease" is an oxymoron.

AIDS is not even a disease. It's a SYNDROME, hence it's name: "Acquired Immune Deficiency SYNDROME."

  2. Please, now "HIV-NEGATIVE AIDS?" pollutes this blog with her "everything is non-HIV" stuff?

HIV/AIDS exists, and ME/CFS is not the very rare "non-HIV-AIDS".

    Go take a hike.

  3. And just in case this "HIV-negative AIDS" person can read and comprehend this:

"This is absolutely fascinating. I've seen probably at least three patients in the last 10 years or so" who might have had this, said Dr. Dennis Maki, an infectious disease specialist at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

    3 cases in 10 years.

This is *not* the solution HIV/AIDS, nor the solution to ME/CFS.

That is something a handful of scientists can find "fascinating" while they ignore ME/CFS. Diverting money to this "fascinating" stuff is not the solution to ME/CFS. Nor is lying by declaring that ME/CFS is actually this rare (which it isn't) and fascinating stuff and pleading "Please, please dear scientists, I have the same thing, honestly, I swear, and help me please."

And once more: If you have an immune-deficency (look up the definition) and don't get the right treatment, then you die. This "HIV-negative" person has either the right treatment (which is odd for an supposedly ignored disease) or she does not have HIV-negative AIDS.

  4. And just in case you want to see what a immune-deficency can do to a person, there is an quite illustrative image that accompanies the article at the link below:

    blogs.discovermagazine.com/80beats/2012/08/24/no-virus-to-blame-for-new-aids-like-disease-it’s-an-autoimmune-response/

People with ME/CFS may or may not have problems with their immune system (what I would pay to know in my case), but they are most definitely not immune-compromised or immune-deficent.

    1. Hi Tony, people with M.E. actually DO have a problem with their immune system. I attend an M.E. expert, one who was involved with the Myalgic Encephalomyelitis International Consensus Criteria. He confirmed this from my blood test. People with M.E. have NK cells on the very lowest of the range. Natural killer cells (or NK cells) are a type of cytotoxic lymphocyte critical to the innate immune system.

As regards your '3 cases in 10 years":
My G.P. thought I may have contracted Lyme Disease some years ago and told me to mention that to the hospital consultant. The consultants words: "Lyme Disease!! I've only ever had 2 cases of Lyme Disease in the past 10 years". However, he did go ahead and test me. Lo and behold .. yep, you guessed it. I had Lyme Disease. The consultant also informed me that he also tested another patient, who also tested positive. So now Tony, that consultant doubled his statistics, all within one week.

You see the reason he had only had 2 cases of Lyme Disease was ... he didn't think to test people for it because he didn't think of Lyme Disease!!!! So quoting a statistic like that has more to do with a doctor's ignorance than the actual number of people who have a particular disease.

  5. "A disturbing announcement was made at the July 1992 international AIDS conference held in Amsterdam: Several people with symptoms of AIDS, but who had no evidence of infection with either HIV-1 or HIV-2 (the viruses generally believed, at the time, to cause AIDS), had been identified by the U.S. CDC.

A few weeks later...Newsweek made an even more shocking announcement: that CFS researcher Dr. Paul Cheney had in his practice 20 CFS patients who had the same immune system deficiencies as the non-HIV AIDS cases revealed at the Amsterdam conference."
